Meet the Team

General Dentistry

	Steven Gutterson, D.M.D. Dr. Gutterson received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut in 1991. He then went on to enter the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at the University of Connecticut which he completed in 1992. Dr. Gutterson has a particular interest and concentration in root canal therapy. He is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society and the Suffolk County Dental Society. He enjoys taking numerous post graduate courses in various areas of dentistry. Dr. Gutterson joined Iannello Dental in 1992.
	Melinda K. Sheridan, D.M.D. Dr. Sheridan attended Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors. She then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where she received her Dental Medical Doctoris degree in 1995. Following graduation she went on to complete an Advanced Education of General Dentistry two year residency, the second year of which she served as Chief Resident, at SUNY Stonybrook.Prior to joining Iannello Dental in 2002, Dr. Sheridan worked as an associate in a group practice in Nassau County for five years. She is active in all aspects of restorative dentistry.
	Donald Dodge, D.D.S. Dr. Dodge graduated from the School of Dental Medicine at the State University at Stony Brook in 1985. He received awards for excellence in endodontics (root canal therapy), academic excellence and leadership. Following graduation, he then completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. Dr. Dodge is a member in good standing of the Amercian Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Society of the State of New York and the Suffolk County Dental Society. In 1986, following his residency, Dr. Dodge joined Iannello Dental .
	Elyssa Bernstein, D.D.S. Dr. Bernstein attended SUNY Albany where she received her Bachelor Of Science degree in biology. She graduated with honors in three years and was a member of Golden Key Honor Society. She then attended SUNY Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine and continued her residency training at Northport Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Bernstein has done outreach programs with students from elementary school to college level where she discussed the importance of oral hygiene. She received training in treating patients under anesthesia in the operating room. Her clinical experience includes treating developmentally challenged patients which she finds particularly rewarding. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society and the Suffolk County Dental Society.
	Tania Saavedra, D.D.S. Dr. Saavedra has been licensed and practicing general dentistry since 2003. She completed her undergraduate studies at Hofstra University and graduated with a BA in Biology. She then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where she obtained her DDS in 2002. She then entered a residency program at StonyBrook University Hospital where she was trained to work with medically compromised patients. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Saavedra entered private practice. She joined Iannello Dental Group in 2005. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Association.

Orthodontist

Divinia B. Jordan, D.M.D.
Dr. Jordan received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of the East College of Dentistry, Manila, Philippines in 1969.After migrating to New York in 1976, she pursued her post graduate training in Orthodontics at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, graduating in 1982. After receiving her boards in 1986 she specialized in orthodontics.

James Trentalage, D.M.D.
Dr. Trentalange is a graduate of Georgetown College and received his dental degree at the Georgetown School of Dentistry. He received his Masters in Orthodontics at Farleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corp for two years prior to opening his private orthodontic practice in Garden City N.Y., where he practiced for many years. In addition to his practice with Iannello Dental Group, Dr. Trentalange teaches orthodontics at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He is an actve member of the Americam Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Trentalange is also a member of the Stang Tweed Orthodontic Study Club, and the Pierre Fauchard Dental Society.

Periodontist

Stacy Reisfeld, D.D.S.
Dr. Reisfeld has been practicing periodontics since 1990. She attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She completed her dental education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1988, where she earned her D.D.S. degree. She continued her specialty training at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Reisfeld holds a faculty position at the State University of New York at StonyBrook School of Dental Medicine, and has privileges at University Hospital at StonyBrook and Southampton Hospital. Dr. Reisfeld is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Suffolk County Dental Society, New York County Dental Society, and the Northeast Society of Periodontics.

General Dentistry and Oral Surgery

Kevin P. Soria, D.D.S.
Dr. Soria graduated from Ithaca College in 1988 where he received his Bachelors Degree with honors in Psychology and research in Neuroscience. In 1992 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from SUNY Buffalo Dental School. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Northport Veterans Administration Medical Center. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society and Suffolk County Dental Society. Dr. Soria joined the staff at Iannello Dental in 1994. He is active in all aspects of restorative and comestic dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery and implantology.
